How often should testing and tagging be done?

The frequency of testing and tagging depends on the type of equipment and the environment in which it is used. Generally, statutory requirements require it to be done every 6 to 12 months.

As per AS/NZS 3760:2022 standard:

INTERVALS	ENVIRONMENT
3 months	Construction, demolition & building sites – portable tools, leads & power boards
6 months	Factories, warehouses & workshop environments
12 months	Offices, retail & classrooms – general portable equipment
2 years	Residential-style accommodation (hotels, motels, boarding)
5 years	Low-risk environments – fixed/stationary equipment not regularly moved

What happens if a piece of equipment fails the test?

If any equipment fails the test, we will provide a detailed report and recommend repair or replacement options to ensure safety. We will also disconnect and tag the unit to ensure it is not used until it has been repaired or replaced.

How long does the testing and tagging process take?

The duration of the testing and tagging process depends on the amount and type of equipment that needs to be tested. However, our team works efficiently to complete the process as quickly as possible, often within a few hours for most commercial setups.

Can testing and tagging be scheduled outside of business hours?

Yes, we offer flexible scheduling options and can perform testing and tagging outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, to minimize disruption to your business operations.
