Telephone Interview

A casual chat to gauge your suitability to the Platinum brand

First Meeting

Held at our head office in Sydney, this is a full presentation of the ‘ins and outs’ of a Platinum Electricians franchise.

Submit Application Form

If you feel this is for you and wish to proceed, we will review your application form and if successful will offer you the opportunity to join Platinum

Second Meeting

A copy of our disclosure document and franchise agreement are given at this meeting (often held via teleconference for those outside of Sydney)

Final Meeting

During or prior to the final meeting you pay the franchise fee, both parties sign the franchise agreement and you officially become part of the Platinum family. YAY!

How long does it take?

Step 1 through to Step 6 takes a minimum of 4 weeks. After the final meeting, the business rollout process begins which usually takes another 4 weeks. Our one week intensive training program at our head office in Sydney occurs during the 4 week business rollout period.
From initial expression of interest through to sitting in your own Platinum Electricians van ready to start your business can take as little as 8 weeks (depending on legal, financial and business roll out variables).

The Platinum Story

In December 2001, Platinum Electricians was started by 22 year old Joshua Nicholls. With a dream to have a few employees, so he didn’t have to ‘work on the tools’, Platinum very quickly surpassed that goal and soon became one of Australia’s fastest growing companies.

Within 5 years, Joshua had totally worked himself out of the day to day operations of the business and had a General Manager in place. Faced with the ‘what next?’ question, Joshua than embarked on the two year journey of developing a franchising model. Franchising the Platinum brand was a strategy to gain greater exposure throughout Australia at the same time as giving other business owners the opportunity to learn how to build their own successful business.

Fast forward to today and Platinum now has over 130 vans on the road Australia wide, employing over 310 employees. What most excites Joshua and the Platinum team, however is the humanitarian impact Platinum has through it’s One Van One Child initiative as the company continues to grow.

United towards a common cause

One Van One Child.
Our One Van One Child initiative was birthed from the desire for Platinum to have a massive impact as the brand continued to grow but be achievable and scalable for each franchisee. Hence, the concept One Van One Child began with the idea if you have one van, sponsor one child; if you have two vans, sponsor two and so on. It’s not mandatory at all but most franchisees love the idea and have jumped on board.
One Van One Child has created a strong sense of purpose and unity within the Platinum family. Franchisees join together with their generous support and heart to bring change to children, their communities and future generations.
